Kelly Steele has been drawing and painting since he was a boy. He worked in pen and ink and watercolor throughout his twenties while traveling to various points around the globe. Kelly developed his technique doing drawings, paintings and illustrations during his thirties and forties. Now in his fifties, Kelly is married to Stacy Steele and has a son, Cooper, age nine. He started oil painting ten years ago and opened Kelly Steele Gallery in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California in July 2006. Kelly has lived in Carmel since he was one year old and was born in Port Townsend, Washington in 1951.
